Final candidates running for Chief and Councillor – Magnetawan First Nation election July 3, 2021
Candidates-to-appear-on-Ballot-25MAY21A meeting of the Electors of the Magnetawan First Nation will be held at the Community Hall on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
Nominations are open for 1 Chief and 2 Councillor positions.
On-reserve registered voters may nominate candidates verbally at the nomination meeting on May 20, 2021. COVID-19 health and safety measures will be practiced at the nomination meeting.
On-reserve voters may also nominate by using a mail-in nomination form.
Off-reserve registered voters will receive a notice of nomination in the mail. To ensure your address is up-to-date contact band membership or the electoral officer Vaughn Johnston.

Chief and Council appointed Vaughan Johnson as the electoral officer and revised the tenure date from October 26, 2021, to June 30, 2021.
Mr. Vaughan Johnson advised that he would not be available to conduct the Magnetawan First Nation election on June 26, 2021. Mr. Johnson identified that he is available to conduct the Magnetawan First Nation election on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
The Chief and Council of Magnetawan First Nation agree to amend the election date to take place Saturday, July 3, 2021.
