Presenting Azula, our Western Hognose Snake (formerly known as Cher). Azula made an appearance at the meeting celebrating the Kinship Program between the Wilder Institute and our Lands department. The Wilder Institute collaborates with local and global partners to develop science-based solutions that help wildlife and people.
There was a strong turnout on Red Dress Day for the Memorial Walk and Ribbon Pinning held at Magnetawan First Nation.

We are happy to report that your First Nation is now among seven Anishinabek First Nations that have successfully ratified the ANGA to date.
The ultimate goal of the ANGA is to have ratifying First Nations with effective laws in regard
a) leadership selection; b) citizenship; c) culture and language; d) management and operations of First Nation Government, and an operating second level of support by way of the collective body.
This series of online forums/virtual town halls will provide opportunities to learn about Anishinaabe Governance and what our own governance system and laws can mean for future generations of Anishinabek.
